Stack Sprint

Tower stacking with a shrinking margin for error.

How to play Stack Sprint

One action, one rule. The difficulty is entirely in the timing.

On a phone or tablet

  • Tap anywhere on the board to drop the sliding block.
  • Or use the large Drop button under the board.
  • The page stays still while you play, so a tap never scrolls it.

On a keyboard

  • Space or Enter drops the block. A mouse click works too.
  • P or Escape pauses and resumes.
  • R starts again once a run has ended.

The rule

  • A block slides across the top of your tower.
  • Whatever hangs over the edge when it lands is cut away.
  • The next block is only as wide as what is left. Miss completely and the run ends.

Scoring and perfect drops

Height matters, but a clean tower scores faster than a tall, ragged one.

Points

  • Every block you place is worth 10 points, times your combo.
  • Each 2 perfect drops in a row raise the combo by one, up to ×5.
  • Any cut, however small, resets the combo to ×1.

Winning width back

  • A perfect drop snaps into place and loses nothing.
  • A run of perfects restores some width — sooner on Easy, later on Hard — but never wider than the base of 170 units.
  • So a narrow tower is not a lost one. It is a tower waiting for a clean streak.

Choosing a difficulty

Each difficulty keeps its own best score, so moving up never costs you a record.

Easy

Gentle slide, generous perfect window, width comes back quickly.

Perfect window ±7 units · width back every 3 perfects

Normal

The intended balance. Speed builds steadily as the tower rises.

Perfect window ±5 units · width back every 4 perfects

Hard

Fast from the first block, with a tight window for a perfect.

Perfect window ±3 units · width back every 5 perfects

Three habits that add ten blocks

  1. Watch the edge, not the block. Fix your eye on the side of the tower the block is heading towards, and tap as its leading edge lines up with it.
  2. Find the rhythm early. The block always enters from alternating sides at a steady pace. Counting the beat is more reliable than reacting to it, especially once the speed picks up.
  3. Protect a streak. Once you are on a combo, a slightly early tap that still lands perfect is worth far more than a greedy late one that clips the edge and resets everything.

Questions

Is Stack Sprint free?
Yes. There is nothing to buy, no in-game currency and no paid advantage. Every block you place is earned by timing alone.
Do I need an account to play?
No. Your best scores, local leaderboard and achievements are saved in your browser. An optional account adds your runs to the global leaderboard.
What counts as a perfect drop?
Landing close enough to the block below that nothing needs cutting. How close depends on difficulty — the window is widest on Easy and tightest on Hard.
Can the tower get wider again?
Yes. A run of perfect drops in a row restores some of the width you have lost, though never beyond the size of the base.
Does it work on phones?
It was designed for them. The whole board is the button, so one thumb is all you need, and the page will not scroll while you play.
